Being up on a stage never made her nervous. The spotlight was to her as the sun is to most. Normal.  

Stepping with poise up onto the platform, she cocked her hips and gave a big smile. “Hi, everyone!”

As expected, a loud, synchronized cheer arose from the numerous seated students.

“Kisaro Kisaragi-Kun, welcome to Duel Academia!” said the bearded man who had kindly led her to the auditorium. He had earlier introduced himself as the Chancellor of the school, Samejima.

“Thanks! I’m super psyched to be here, myself!” She said, flipping her dark tresses over her shoulder.

From his seat, Sho looked on admiringly. “To think I’m actually seeing her in person….” He perked up, turning to the empty seat beside him. I hope Aniki didn’t oversleep again…..

“Well then, Signora Kisaragi,” Began a feminine looking man in blue. “I am Professor Chronos de Medici, no-ne. Would you care to answer a few questions for our students?”

She grinned. “Sure! I’d love some ‘Q and A’ time! Fire ‘em away!”

“All right, now. Please introduce yourselves when you’re called upon.” Samejima said, smiling.

Nearly three-thirds of the entire audience raised their hands instantly, not that Kisaro was surprised. Professor Chronos paused for what seemed to be a moment of intense thought, and picked, (of course), a student from Obelisk-Blue.

“Yes, Signore Manjoume! Please ask your question, no-ne.”

In response, a blue-uniformed student rose confidently, smirking. “Jun Manjoume, first year Obelisk-Blue.” He said, introducing himself. “I’ve only got one question I need answered.”

Kisaro smiled, and spoke into the microphone placed generously before her. “Sure, just ask.”

As if trying to build suspense, the student paused before continuing. “Are you….a Duelist?”

She herself knew that would have been the question in everyone’s mind.

“Yeah.” She said, teasing a smirk herself. “I sure am.”

At that moment, everyone and everything went completely silent. She counted the seconds in her head it remained soundless before the steadfast flow was broken by dozens of questions being blurted at the same time.

-“What kind of deck do you use?!”

-“Do you like Earth-Attributes?!”

-“Will you Duel with me?!”

-“Yes, will you Duel with me too?!”

Kisaro blinked. That she hadn’t been expecting. Sure, she anticipated a few challenges, but one from everyone there?

She smiled peaceably, enjoying the hype in air.

Professor Chronos sweat-dropped. “Everyone, calm down this instant! Signora Kisaragi will only be accepting challenges from students in Obelisk-Blue!”

Naturally, this biased declaration raised loud objections from the Ra-Yellow students and the Osiris-Reds.

Kisaro tilted her head. “Wait, wait, Chronos-Chan...”

The Professor’s eyebrow twitched, having been unaccustomed to being addressed so casually, but he allowed it to slide. “Yes, Signora Kisaragi?”

“Does that mean I’m only allowed to Duel the blue guys?”

“Well, yes. Certainly you only want to Duel the best students here, correct? You should not have to bother yourself with the drop-outs, no-ne.”

“What’re you saying? I’ll Duel anyone!” She smiled, returning her attention to the audience. “If you really want to Duel with me, then I accept your challenge!”

“Oh….” Professor Chronos began, stumped. “But, Signora Kisaragi, how on earth do you plan on Dueling every single student here?”

She thought for a moment. “Hey, I know! Can I see your clipboard, Samejima-Chan?”

“Oh? Why of course, Kisaro-Kun.” The Chancellor replied, turning it over to her.

Kisaro unclipped the two papers fastened down and reversed them, blank-side up. “If you wanna Duel me, write your names down, okay? That way, I can make sure I don’t leave anyone out!”

Sho could have cried with joy. “She’s even kinder than I dreamed she would be!”

Professor Chronos could only stare, stupefied, as students began to line up to schedule in their Duel with Kisaro.

“S..Signora Kisaragi is really…..accepting one-hundred Duel challenges all at once?!”
